Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Administrator will be part of the Enterprises team at TULLOCH, a leading consulting engineering firm. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for a wide range of duties focused on invoicing, accounts payable & receivable, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general accounting support to the team
- Post and allocate expenses to proper accounts
- Verify accuracy of invoices received and update accounting records accordingly
- Review and reconcile vendor statements
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements, match receipts, postings, etc.
- Prepare month-end AP reports
- Provide confidential, courteous, and professional service to clients and colleagues
- Complete other administrative duties related to filing, maintenance, and retention of accounting records as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in an Accounting role or related field
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to navigate confidential matters and manage sensitive data
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with QuickBooks or BST is an asset
- Valid Class G driver's licence
