Cloud Chamber Studios is seeking a highly skilled Senior Combat Designer, specializing in AI, to lead the development of cutting-edge AI characters and combat gameplay. This exciting opportunity is part of our team that creates industry-leading games.

Key Responsibilities
  • To collaborate with Leads, Design Director, and the design team to conceptualize and execute interactive AI characters and combat gameplay features.
  • The primary owner of AI and combat implementation across cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Develop working prototypes of AI and combat scenarios, ensuring seamless integration with game mechanics.
  • Communicate progress, workflows, and availability of AI and combat standards to content developers, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Maintain and refine assigned combat AI behavior and parameters through project completion, guaranteeing high-quality results.
  • Create detailed, easy-to-follow design documentation, facilitating efficient communication among team members.
  • Pursue innovative ideas for player expression and emergent design experiences, pushing the boundaries of our games.
  • Utilize creativity to achieve design goals and resolve complex challenges, driving our games forward.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design solutions and address technical issues.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one AAA title shipped as a designer responsible for AI combatants.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in video game design.
  • Experience working with established game toolsets and pipelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of game mechanics, combat systems, and AI NPC design.
  • Fluency with game development tools, including Unreal Engine 5.
