Job Summary:

At Hanna Health Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant I to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory functions, including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching, and testing of specimens.
  • Conduct various laboratory procedures and report results accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Cardiology training and experience, including ECG's and Holter Monitors.
  • Ability to collect blood samples from patients of all ages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with Clinitek Status.
  • Recent experience with Muse and Cardioday.
  • Recent and relevant experience with Epic Beaker.
  • Current registration with CSMLS.
