Job Summary:
Bouchier is seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including PTAC units, kitchen appliances, and other equipment.
- Install and maintain refrigeration piping and components.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on HVAC and refrigeration systems, including makeup airs, air handlers, and exhaust fans.
- Handle, recover, and store refrigerants in accordance with safe handling requirements.
- Test and repair electrical components, including motors, VFDs, and control systems.
- Provide training and mentorship to apprentices as required.
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification.
- Class B Gas Ticket or A Ticket considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a ticketed journeyman preferred.
- Previous oil sands site experience considered an asset.
- ODS HRAI Certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Clean 5-year Driver's Abstract Required.
- CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation, OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019).
- Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Good coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to troubleshoot and rectify a large variety of operational problems.
- Good physical strength and stamina.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with co-workers, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
