Job Summary:

Bouchier is seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including PTAC units, kitchen appliances, and freezers.
  • Install and maintain makeup airs, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Handle and recover refrigerants safely and efficiently.
  • Test and repair electrical components, including motors and control systems.
  • Provide training and mentorship to apprentices as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification.
  • Class B Gas Ticket or A Ticket considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a ticketed journeyman preferred.
  • Previous oil sands site experience an asset.
  • ODS HRAI Certification.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean 5-year Driver's Abstract.
  • CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation, OSSA BSO or CSO.
  • Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Good coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and rectify a large variety of operational problems.
  • Good physical strength and stamina.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with co-workers, contractors, and clients.
  • Fluency in English required.
