Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Pizza Fiamma. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet our high standards.

Responsibilities

- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe dining area
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand to ensure food safety and hygiene
- Keep records of food quantities used to optimize inventory and minimize waste
- Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods to meet customer demands
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to prepare ingredients for cooking
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Handle and store cleaning products to ensure safe and effective cleaning practices
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain a well-stocked kitchen
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment

Requirements

- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Willingness to train and learn new skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment

- Work will be completed at the physical location of Pizza Fiamma, with no option to work remotely
- Work setting includes a restaurant and fast food outlet or concession

Education and Experience

- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Willingness to train and learn new skills

Language

- English is the primary language spoken in the workplace
