Job Title: Senior News Analyst

FactSet is seeking a highly skilled Senior News Analyst to join our team. As a Senior News Analyst, you will be responsible for providing real-time content to our clients, including identifying breaking news and its impact on the financial markets, researching actionable material, and writing concise comments that enable investors to immediately grasp the markets' impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze breaking news and its impact on the financial markets
  • Research and write concise comments on market developments
  • Provide real-time content to clients
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to source real-time market information
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a market-focused role (analyst, trader, PM, equity/currency/bond sales, economist, etc.)
  • Preferred writing experience covering macro economics and financial markets
  • Ability to have a macro and micro view of financial market developments
  • Passionate interest in financial markets, as well as a clear understanding of how news affects equities and the broader markets
  • Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills
  • The ability to digest and analyze information quickly
