We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our renewable energy projects from early development to advanced stages. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with development, engineering, and major contract teams to ensure project readiness and optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate efforts related to construction and engineering activities across various development stages.
- Cost Estimation and Risk Management
- Develop and maintain accurate construction and operations cost estimates in collaboration with engineering, construction project managers, commercial, and major contract teams.
- Assess class estimates required for projects based on development stages and provide guidance to commercial and major contract teams.
- Develop and maintain a pre-construction risk registry and apply adequate contingencies to estimates.
- Project Governance and Execution
- Implement project governance mechanisms, including cost control tools, schedules, risk matrices, and project execution plans.
- Actively participate in industry networking events to stay informed of government programs, incentives, and industry trends.
- Handover and Coordination
- Plan and coordinate handover activities from development to construction and from construction to operation stages.
- Ensure effective coordination and information sharing within the multi-disciplinary project team.
- Skills and Requirements
- Strong project management skills with experience in renewable energy project development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required, with Spanish being an asset.
- Experience in development and/or construction of wind and solar projects in the United States and/or Canada.
- Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel.
