Waste Management Driver

Brantford, ON Full-time $25.50/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Waste Management Driver to join our team at Emterra Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating waste collection/recycling vehicles, loading curbside materials, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate waste collection/recycling vehicle;
  • Load curbside materials into the truck;
  • Observe safe work practices;
  • Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies;
  • Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner;
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR;
  • Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR an AZ graduate from an accredited driving school;
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • Able to successfully pass a background check consisting of an MTO medical/drug test, criminal history search, license verification and employment confirmation;
  • Punctual, reliable, team player.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Overtime pay
