Job Summary

AJB Truck Lines Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and driving trucks to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, adhering to all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Perform Brake Adjustments: Perform regular brake adjustments to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Perform Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure that vehicles are operational and safe to drive.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Receive and Relay Information: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of any issues or concerns.
  • Record Cargo Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Tarp and Ensure Cargo Safety: Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and laws.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess an Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A): Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Possess knowledge of accident or incident reports, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbooks, and inspection reports.
  • Experience: Experience as a Truck Driver is an asset.
Working Conditions

As a Truck Driver with AJB Truck Lines Inc, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. You will also be required to travel extensively, both within and outside of the province.
