GFL Environmental is seeking a professional Class 3 Truck Driver to join our Residential Collection team in a dynamic environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste from assigned residential routes to our facilities, ensuring the highest level of service to our customers.

About the role:

  • Operate a waste collection vehicle along designated routes, mechanically collecting waste and transporting it to post-collection facilities.
  • Assist Collection Helpers in loading waste into the truck, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Maneuver the truck in and out of minimum clearance spaces, using mirrors to back distances of approximately 120 feet or more.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and/or vehicle condition reports, adhering to safe operating practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class [specific qualification - recruiter to update]
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate
  • Ability to exert physical effort, including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
  • Use fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
