Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tug vessels to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with our maintenance team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Support the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Canadian 4th Class Marine Engineer's Certificate
  • Certificates of competency: MED Basic Safety STCW, Ability to operate lifeboats and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats [PSC], Advanced firefighting techniques certificate
  • Valid Marine Medical Certificate
  • Minimum of three to five years experience at sea as an engineer (asset)
  • Restricted radio operator certificate (asset)
  • Ability to work on a computer in a Microsoft Office environment
  • Intermediate level in French or English, spoken and written
