Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the shipping/receiving department, ensuring that quantitative and qualitative measures included in the operating plan are met. This includes costs, cost reductions, productivity, health and safety, customer satisfaction, scheduling, and staffing.

This role will involve coordinating all shipments to customers by planning and tendering deliveries to external transportation carriers through the system (SAP). The manager must have a thorough understanding of freight costs for each carrier and ensure that the Shipping Department is aware of all shipments, providing bills of lading to drivers.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading a team to improve health and safety performance by being a role model in safety and demonstrating due diligence through applying corporate health & safety program elements.
2. Monitoring warehouse conditions and ensuring product storage requirements with respect to quality and safety are met.
3. Reviewing month-end variance reports with the Logistics & Planning Manager/Shipping Manager and making necessary adjustments to spending to ensure the warehouse budget is not exceeded.
4. Providing leadership and supervision to staff by providing work direction, performance feedback, and recommendations for training and development.
5. Ensuring compliance with the Company's corporate and legal obligations under the Collective Agreement, as well as various statutes and regulations such as Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team. You should also have a strong analytical mindset and be able to identify areas for improvement, implement changes, and measure their impact.

The ideal candidate will have:
1. A strong background in supply chain management, preferably with experience in a similar role within a large organization.
2. Excellent knowledge of SAP and other business systems.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
4. Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
