We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Support Professional to join our team at the Cardiac Care Clinic. As a Medical Support Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic by providing exceptional administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
As a Medical Support Professional, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Handling incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the coordination of interdepartmental activities, including transportation of patients for tests, scheduling of appointments, and discharges.
  • Maintaining attendance and time reporting information, arranging relief as needed, and processing payroll.
  • Supporting clinicians with system order entry functions, such as scheduling patient appointments and follow-up appointments.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
  • A medical office assistant certificate or minimum one year comparable office experience with medical orientation.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and ability to perform medical transcription.
  • Experience inputting payroll, timesheets, and staff schedules.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient/client-centered care.
  • Accurate minimum typing speed of 45 w.p.m.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What We Offer
We offer a highly competitive total compensation package, including pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan. This is a full-time temporary position (12 months), working 8-hour shifts, days in the Cardiac Care Clinic.

Salary Estimate: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on relevant experience.
