Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Expert to join our Wealth Management Investigations team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in handling client complaints, escalated complaints to regulators and external bodies, regulatory reporting, and response obligations.

About the Role

You will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and investigating client complaints, including determining the nature of the complaint and performing detailed analyses. You will also conduct suitability assessments, perform profit/loss calculations, and construct model portfolios.

In addition, you will handle provincial/national/SRO regulatory inquiries effectively and prepare materials in response to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and investigations. You will collaborate with other service providers and support units, manage email inboxes, and maintain complaints logs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and analyze client complaints, including determining their nature and conducting detailed analyses.
  • Conduct suitability assessments and perform profit/loss calculations.
  • Prepare responses to clients based on analysis and merit.
  • Handle regulatory inquiries and prepare materials in response to regulatory examinations and investigations.
  • Collaborate with other teams and manage email inboxes and complaints logs.
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience at a large financial institution or securities agency.
  • Relevant securities courses and certifications.
  • Experience working in wealth management or a similar industry is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
