About the Role

Civil Assistant Project Managers play a crucial role in the success of our projects. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning and tracking progress of field work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and tracking progress of field work
  • Track quantities completed and reconcile and process monthly invoices
  • Review and analyze Subcontractor requests for changes
  • Conduct technical reviews of designs to identify and resolve constructability concerns and conflicts
  • Organize and chair Subcontractor meetings to ensure they are aware of project expectations and requirements
  • Review Subcontractor RFIs and confirm accuracy prior to issuance to Consultants, and coordinate meetings to resolve complex issues
  • May have delegated responsibility to directly manage one or multiple Subcontractors or specific portions of a project
  • Conduct quality control activities, inspection programs, and periodic updating of construction progress records
  • Review specifications and scope of work to ensure all documentation is identified, received, and reviewed prior to work commencing
  • Organize and manage regular Inspection & Testing on site, as well as the QA/QC program in conjunction with project Consultants and Third Party Inspection & Testing Companies
  • Assist in the application and collection of required permits, licenses, and approvals from environmental jurisdictions
  • Involve in design management

Requirements

  • Construction-related degree and a minimum of 6 years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Experience working on MTO projects and knowledge of OPSS is required
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software
