This role will be responsible for leading franchise development through new store growth across Canada, driving impact across the Taco Bell business through partnerships with Franchisees.

About the Job:

The Franchise Development Lead will partner with Franchisees and internal teams to develop market plans, source sites, select locations, design buildings, obtain permits, and guide construction. They will work closely with Franchisees, brokers, brand design, real estate, and operations to build and maintain a robust new store development pipeline. With this role, the possibilities are endless to drive expansion strategies, cultivate strong partnerships, and shape the future of our brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner to achieve the Canada national new store Franchise Development Plan and build a pipeline for future franchise development growth.
  • Develop, fill, and maintain the pipeline of new restaurants; Forecast the timeline of new restaurant openings and assess risks.
  • Engage with the North American Development team to find solutions to development barriers such as impact, site characteristics, viable vehicles, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating brand-led development projects across the country.
  • Provide field support to the North American Franchise team to support existing asset portfolio strategies and execution including remodels and replacements.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting/Real Estate; or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least 4+ years of development-related experience; franchising or restaurant industry experience with proven ability to break through the existing development complexity a plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and advanced organizational skills.
  • The ability to think and act quickly and effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm, professional attitude, even in crises.
  • The ability to review and understand financial statements and other legal documents and the ability to understand overarching strategies and restaurant economics.
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $74,000 to $92,400 CAD annually, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits. Our hybrid work schedule includes year-round flex day Fridays, up to 3 weeks of vacation per year, and time off for personal days. We also provide Yum Days for additional day off on statutory holiday weeks, 5 Live Well Days to unplug and recharge, tuition reimbursement, education benefits, fitness reimbursement, and RRSP with company match to employee contribution.
