We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Coordinator to join our team at Regenesis Centre for Recovery Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating on-site programming, case management, and household management for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Program Facilitation: Develop and implement RCR curricula, content, and materials; plan lessons according to RCR educational resources and goals.
- Case Management: Assist with intake, complete assessments, referrals, and client file maintenance; work with client families, source employment and educational opportunities, and consult with healthcare providers and external stakeholders.
- Household Management: Assist clients with meal planning, preparation, and obtaining household items; ensure clients are prepared for the day and oversee lunch hour preparation.
- Team Collaboration: Participate as a member of the RCR team, interpreting social, psychological, emotional, and family problems; maintain excellent working relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
- Community Outreach: Develop community-based contacts through related organizations; liaise with agencies and professionals to build working relationships and coordinate guest speakers, volunteer opportunities, and community activities.
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social service-related fields or healthcare; a combination of significant and relevant education and experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of related professional experience in Manitoba's addictions/mental health field.
- Certifications/Licensure: Valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract; satisfactory criminal record and prior contact check, clear child and elder abuse registry check.
- Skills: Ability to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines and demonstrate professional judgement and initiative.
- Indigenous Language and Knowledge: Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
- Certifications: First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, WEVAS, NVCI, or related/similar certifications are considered an asset.
- Physical Health: Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Work Environment: May encounter aggressive and/or agitated client/visitors/staff; may be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress.
