We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Markets Correspondent to join our team at Carbon Pulse. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for covering environmental markets, GHG pricing initiatives, and climate policies across the Americas.

Responsibilities:
  • Reporting on compliance carbon markets in the Americas, including WCI and RGGI, as well as other existing or emerging carbon markets, carbon pricing schemes, or climate policies across the Americas and internationally.
  • Covering breaking news, writing weekly and ad-hoc market reports, and conducting interviews to develop in-depth analyses or wider-looking features.
  • Sharing responsibility for editing, proof-reading, and sending out Carbon Pulse's email-based newsletters, as well as sub-editing duties, checking copy from colleagues.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience combined in carbon markets and/or climate policy and/or financial journalism.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and environmental markets, with the ability to follow and report on policy developments across various jurisdictions and market segments.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and convert them into stories.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and maintain a network of contacts in every market segment.
