We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for driving and executing our strategic plan and monitoring key metrics to ensure an operational strategy that delivers against business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Operational Strategy: Develop and implement the organization's operational strategy in alignment with overall organizational goals.
- Collaborate with Executive Team: Maintain close relationships with executive team members, people leaders, and operational groups across the organization to ensure alignment with program requirements.
- Lead Production, Engineering, and Purchasing Departments: Directly manage the Production, Engineering, and Purchasing departments, focusing on team development and effective leadership.
- Quality and Customer Service: Uphold and advance the company's reputation for quality and customer service through successful strategy execution and adherence to production schedules.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Analyze industry trends, operational best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Key Metrics and Balanced Scorecard: Use key metrics to ensure Balanced Scorecard results are achieved, manage risks, and deliver sustainable outcomes for new and existing customers.
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strategic problem-solving skills, anticipate and communicate challenges, and navigate complex issues effectively within the work environment.
Qualifications:
- Senior Management Experience: 10+ years' operational experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Manufacturing Experience: Experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment would be considered a strong asset.
- Unionized Environment: Proven ability to lead and manage a multi-functional team in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Problem-Solving and Strategic Analysis: Effective problem-solving, strategic analysis, planning, and implementation skills.
- IT Systems: Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage IT systems to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Collaboration and Influence: Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence at the executive level to achieve desired outcomes.
- Quality, Safety, and Customer Service: Unwavering commitment to Quality, Safety and Customer Service objectives.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement: Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Canadian Controlled Goods Program: Must be eligible to meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
