This is an exciting opportunity to join Recruit Action's team in a dynamic and professional environment, supporting their North America Procurement group in the insurance industry.

The open role focuses on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract oversight, making a meaningful impact on operational efficiency and business objectives.

What We Offer:

  • Hourly salary of $47.50 to $52.50 based on experience.

Incorporated Business Rate:
$57.50 to $62.50 per hour.

  • 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
  • Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work: 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.

Job Responsibilities:

As an IT Contract Manager Specialist, your responsibilities will include leading cross-functional teams to execute low to medium value/complexity sourcing projects and contracting efforts, including sourcing strategy development and analysis.

Influence business partner requirements to evaluate and select suppliers effectively.

Conduct baseline and market analysis, sourcing strategy development, and contract negotiations.

Read and interpret contract and commercial terms in current agreements and proposals.

Manage sourcing resources, engaging subject matter experts (e.g., legal, risk, finance) for commodities and/or business lines.

Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of contract archives and manage contract expiration tracking and renewals.

Collaborate with legal and drafting teams to integrate negotiation results into contract documentation.

Provide analytics to the finance team to validate realized savings.

Foster and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners and project owners.

Support vendor managers in executing business-led initiatives as necessary.

Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in business or a related field.
  • Graduate degree in business or related fields (preferred).
  • CPSM certification (preferred, not required).
  • 6+ years of progressive business experience in global supply chain, vendor management, and/or contract management.
  • 6+ years of expertise with supplier contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal and business risks.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure contracts and sourcing.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT software, SaaS solutions, and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and procurement systems and tools.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with legislative and regulatory requirements for third-party outsourcing in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of financial, actuarial, and insurance systems.
  • Previous experience with Manulife's business operations, strategies, and financial environment (preferred).
