Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Youth Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will provide daily basic care and support to youth residing in our facilities, while maintaining a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and support to youth, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and emotional support.
  • Monitor and assess youth behavior, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medication as directed, and perform daily documentation, including incident reports and daily logs.
  • Provide transportation and supervision to youth for scheduled appointments and activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and supportive care environment.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of Metis culture and communities.
  • Satisfactory employment record.
  • Grade 12 diploma.
  • Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification.
  • Current and valid CPR and Emergency First Aid certification.
  • Ability to cook and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
