About the Role

Carleton University is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished leader to serve as its Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of financial management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the university's financial and administrative functions, including finance, human resources, facilities management, and information technology.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to ensure the university's financial sustainability and viability.
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality financial and administrative services to the university community.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the university's reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to financial management and administration.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in senior financial and administrative leadership roles, preferably in a higher education or public sector setting.
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning, budgeting, and management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results.
