Project Engineer Position

Brandt is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing engineering and project management services for the development and production of products and projects undertaken by the Brandt Group of Companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in meetings with customers to determine their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Design and engineer systems, machines, and devices that meet customer needs and comply with sound engineering practices and standards.
  • SOURCE components required for projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Produce CAD drawings and Bills of Materials that enable customers and Brandt staff to understand all facets of the project.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure production is on schedule, quality is up to standard, and the product meets expectations.
  • Work with the Applications Engineer to determine project/product requirements and equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate the activities of all engineering staff assigned to the project and ensure engineering project schedules are met.
  • Ensure designs meet reliability, costing, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Coordinate the release of technical information to manufacturing and ensure accuracy and correctness.
  • Visit customers as required to commission and ensure equipment is operating to customer requirements and expectations.
  • Work with Customer support to ensure field issues are promptly dealt with and technical product literature is issued on time.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong mechanical background with experience of the latest 3D design software.
  • At least 5 years of machine/equipment design experience.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills and able to lead by example.
