Cloud Engineer Job Description

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in San Francisco, CA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement monitoring and alerting strategies to ensure application SLAs.
  2. Develop, test, and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure).
  3. Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems.
  4. Work with development teams throughout the software lifecycle to ensure sustainable software releases.
  5. Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to predict issues and take proactive actions.
  6. Design, write, and build tools to improve the reliability, latency, availability, and scalability of next-generation cloud platforms.
  7. Define, drive adoption, and enforce service level objectives at both service and experience levels.
  8. Influence, design, and create new architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale enterprise systems.
  9. Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns.
  10. Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.
  11. Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment.
  12. Advise design reviews, operational reviews, and the deployment of highly available infrastructure.
  13. Make monitoring and alerting meaningful to support uptime goals.
  14. Operate and maintain infrastructure in multiple public clouds, especially Azure Cloud.
  15. Experience with deploying, supporting, and monitoring new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks.
  16. Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
  17. Cloud operations experience in a large-scale 24x7 production environment.
  18. Manage, innovate, and create programs, new software, analytics that drive improvements to the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Applications and services.
