Senior Financial Advisor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Advisor to provide exceptional customer service to a portfolio of members by offering a full range of investment, deposit, and complex lending services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Member Service: Build strong relationships with current and potential members, identify member life stage cycles, and provide financial advice or refer to an appropriate advisor.
  • Member Transactions: Process complex member transactions, including MFDA products and services, retail mortgages, personal and RRSP loans, and related insurance products.
  • Branch Goals: Support achievement of annual branch goals and objectives through proactive promotion of FW products and services, participation in branch campaigns, and seeking potential cross-sell and/or referral opportunities.
  • Branch Support: Mentor other branch employees in lending and investment products and services, and provide advice and/or assist employees with member issues in management's absence.
Requirements:
  • College or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mutual Funds License required.
  • Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe.
  • PFP preferred.
  • 2-3 years in a Financial Advisor role, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to conduct complex advisory conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize needs, identify appropriate products, and build strong member relationships.
  • Proven track record achieving or exceeding sales targets in retail lending and investment products and services.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office and banking software programs.

Pay Transparency: Salary Range: $55,200 - $70,700. First West is committed to providing a fair, equitable, and competitive rewards package that reflects the value an individual brings to our organization.
