Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, utilizing your problem-solving skills to get back on the road quickly.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining open communication with the team.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A)
  • Willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the dispatch team and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong work ethic, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
