Faculty Position in Management Information Systems

Job Description:
The Management Information Systems department at Université Laval invites applications for a faculty position at the open rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The successful candidate will teach MIS courses to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, conduct research in management information systems, and contribute to the life of the department, school and university.
Responsibilities:
- Teach MIS courses to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students.
- Conduct research in management information systems and/or related subjects.
- Supervise graduate and doctoral students and actively participate in continuing education activities.
- Contribute to the life of the department, school and university.
- Develop ties with the academic and business communities.
Selection Criteria:
- Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in business administration with a specialization in management information systems or equivalent.
- Have an excellent research publication record or demonstrate a strong potential for future publications.
- Demonstrate research interests compatible with those of the SIO department.
- During a presentation to the department, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to transmit research results effectively and explain their scientific and practical implications.
- Demonstrate the ability to secure research funding.
- Be able to teach in the areas put forward by the SIO department.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality teaching.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain ties with the academic and the practitioner communities.
- Be able to teach courses in French within a short period after the start date.
- Be familiar with the other disciplines in business administration.
- Demonstrate the ability and interest to work in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment, and to ensure an active presence on campus.
Application Requirements:
- A detailed curriculum vitae specifying relevant work experiences, publications, and work in progress research projects.
- A letter of intent explaining research experience, initiatives anticipated in connection with the position, and interests in an academic career and teaching.
- Two reference letters.
- A copy of relevant university diplomas obtained.
