Financial Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Manager to join our team at Performance Auto Group. As a key member of our sales and finance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between customers and financial institutions to obtain financing, insurance, and other personal information.
- Prepare credit applications and provide alternate solutions for customers who are not immediately approved for financing.
- Examine all required paperwork with customers to complete transactions.
- Build relationships with customers to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers to up-sell financing, extended warranty, insurance, and chemical options.
- Maintain confidentiality on sensitive customer information.
- Evaluate deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
- Maintain a lender guide of relevant programs and retain product knowledge.
- Analyze credit reports to recognize conventional deals.
- Prepare cost special finance deals and profit sheets.
- Coordinate with auditors to ensure annual monitoring.
- Stay up-to-date on financial regulations and legislation.
- Advise Sales Consultants on how to obtain higher gross sales.
- Attend weekly meetings with Sales Manager and General Sales Manager.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested by management.
- Train Sales Consultants on finance, insurance, and protection products.
- Coordinate with Sales and Service departments to schedule delivery dates.
- Be knowledgeable of provincial regulations regarding finance and the fair credit reporting act.
- Comply with OMVIC regulations and company safety standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2-3 years sales experience, preferably in automotive or financial services.
- Minimum 1-2 years Dealer Financial Service experience.
- OMVIC Certification required.
- Dealer CRM system experience required.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record required.
- Knowledge of financial institutions, insurance policies, and warranty options.
- Ability to read, understand, and calculate banking figures.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in G-suite and Microsoft Excel.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Personable, reliable, courteous.
- Ability to work flexible hours and around a changing schedule.
