Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Manager to join our team at Performance Auto Group. As a key member of our sales and finance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing financial transactions, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between customers and financial institutions to obtain financing, insurance, and other personal information.
  • Prepare credit applications and provide alternative solutions for customers who are not immediately approved for financing.
  • Examine paperwork with customers to complete transactions and build relationships to close deals.
  • Engage with customers to up-sell financing, extended warranty, insurance, and chemical options to increase customer satisfaction and dealership profit.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information.
  • Evaluate deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Maintain a lender guide of relevant programs and retain product knowledge.
  • Analyze credit reports to recognize conventional deals and turn them over accordingly.
  • Prepare cost special finance deals and profit sheets.
  • Coordinate with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
  • Stay up-to-date on financial regulations and legislation.
  • Advise Sales Consultants on how to obtain higher gross sales.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Sales Manager and General Sales Manager to provide updates on performance and areas of opportunity.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested by management.
  • Train Sales Consultants on finance, insurance, and protection products.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Service departments to schedule delivery dates and pre-delivery clean-up services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years sales experience, preferably in an automotive or financial services environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years Dealer Financial Service experience.
  • OMVIC Certification required.
  • Dealer CRM system experience required.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record required.
  • Knowledge of financial institutions, insurance policies, and warranty options.
  • Ability to read, understand, and calculate banking figures.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in G-suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Personable, reliable, courteous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to a changing schedule.
