Job Description

Job Title: Senior Cost Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cost Consultant to join our Infrastructure team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cost management activities on major projects, providing expert guidance on cost control, and driving value engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cost management activities on major infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting.
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies to minimize project costs and maximize value.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate cost risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide expert guidance on cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate and reliable cost data.
  • Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs and improve overall project performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of business growth strategies, identifying new opportunities and partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and adherence to Turner & Townsend's standards.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in cost management, infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Recognized post-secondary education certificate, diploma, or University Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Membership of relevant professional organizations, such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) and/or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience using CostX is an asset but not essential.
