The Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our manufacturing operations. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to plant management, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving business growth through financial analysis and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership
- Provide financial guidance and support to plant management, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to plant management and corporate stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to inform business decisions.
- Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts for plant operations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's assets.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Canadian Accounting Designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA)
- Minimum 5 years, preferably 7 to 12 years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to deliver professional presentations.
- Required to work independently, under pressure, with the ability to shift priorities when required.
- Must be able to successfully handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
