Job DescriptionThe Financial Aid Officer serves as the first point of contact for students seeking guidance on funding options, primarily the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). This role involves advising students on eligibility requirements and identifying additional funding opportunities.
Working collaboratively, the Financial Aid Officer provides comprehensive, student-centered support through multiple channels, including on-campus meetings, phone calls, emails, and virtual sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of student files on the company database in compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
- Record payments received, upcoming payments, and adjustments to payment plans according to student contracts and school procedures.
- Represent the Financial Aid Office at various events, such as orientation, webinars, and on-campus fairs.
This role requires:
- A post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in financial aid administration at a private post-secondary school is considered an asset.
- A working knowledge of provincial financial aid would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
