Metadata Management Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Metadata Management Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Data Shared Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining, updating, and executing metadata processes across all data domains in scope.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to collect, update, and maintain metadata in Collibra
- Work with Business Stakeholders to ensure metadata is properly understood and maintained
- Develop knowledge and become a valuable team resource, supporting the execution of metadata practices in general
- Facilitate consistent adoption of metadata standards across the enterprise, demonstrating the value added by adoption of Collibra
- Assist with project work as required (e.g. regulatory deliverables)
- 1-2 years' experience in an operational environment
- Prior experience with Enterprise Metadata Management and Data Governance platforms
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of metadata management concepts
- Ability to understand the importance of metadata as it relates to applicable policy and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of banking policies, processes, and procedures
- Ability to work independently with general supervision/oversight to achieve short-term (daily/weekly/monthly) performance expectations
