Co-op Student Role in Space Planning

The Facilities & Property Management Division at undisclosed is looking for a Co-op Student to work on projects that involve space planning. As part of a team of dedicated professionals, you will collaborate to deliver on our commitment to the community.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide design drafting services for space accommodation
  • Produce space accommodation plans and office layouts to meet user needs
  • Assist in coordinating and delivering furniture
  • Utilize computer-aided design drafting (CAD) systems
  • Maintain filing systems for space planning drawings and the library
  • Calculate quantities of materials and area calculations for estimating purposes
  • Investigate field conditions, take measurements, and prepare field sketches
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be registered in a recognized University/College Architectural Technology or Interior Design Co-op program
  • Experience using C.A.D. drafting systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of space accommodation plans/designs is required
  • Experience conducting field update sketches is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential

***Must have a valid class "G" Ontario driver's license and the ability to travel and provide own transportation****

Hourly Rate/Salary: 19.22 - 22.84
Hours of Work: 35
