We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Development team at OpenText Corporation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional to play a critical role in driving business growth through strategic acquisitions, investments, and divestitures. As a key member of our team, you will provide analysis, research, and due diligence support to senior management, helping them make informed decisions about new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business units, functional leaders, and senior management to analyze acquisition opportunities, develop financial models, and create presentations summarizing your findings.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial modeling tools to evaluate acquisitions, investments, and divestitures, and ensure they meet the company's strategic objectives.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly reporting of financial results for past acquisitions, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting recommendations.
  • Conduct market research, assess new business opportunities, and present findings to senior management, highlighting their potential for growth and return on investment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and events, monitoring and reporting on significant developments that may impact the company's strategy.
Requirements
  • MBA preferred or equivalent experience in corporate development or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of industry experience in a corporate development role, preferably in a software company.
  • CFA designation considered an asset, but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial and quantitative analysis, as well as expert-level financial modeling skills, including proficiency in SAP-based financial planning tools.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and concepts, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, making decisions with incomplete data and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A flexible and adaptable individual who can work extended hours, evenings, and weekends when needed.

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
