Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Precision Machining Specialist to join our team at Allied Tooling Technologies Inc.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in tool and die making, with experience in setting up machine tools, testing prototypes, and verifying machined parts. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, particularly Mastercam, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces
  • Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Test prototypes and production tools
  • Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM)
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in tool and die making
  • Proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM software
  • Familiarity with gauge blocks, metal cutting, forming, or bending dies, and forging dies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
