Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Operations Assistant to join our team at Island Health. This role will provide essential support to the Colon Screening Program, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing administrative support to the program, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and test results.
  • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of screening procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a related field, preferably in healthcare or a clinical setting.
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding at 45 wpm.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in an office environment. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $52,000 - $62,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
