Senior Sub-System Lead Engineer

As a Senior Sub-System Lead Engineer at General Motors, you will be responsible for providing expert-level guidance on electromechanical systems, controls, and physics-based understanding. We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong analytical problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and decision-making abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in electromechanical systems, controls, and physics-based understanding.
  • Develop and maintain complex technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
  • Drive the development and implementation of innovative solutions, leveraging simulation environments and plant modeling.
  • Maintain expertise in relevant tools and technologies, including Matlab/Simulink, CarSim, GT-Power, and D-Space.
  • Participate in the development of technical standards and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in the field of electromechanical systems and controls.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with team members and customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
