We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our team as a Rural Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Worker in Williams Lake, B.C.
About the RoleThis is a casual opportunity that offers a unique chance to make a difference in a rural community. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with adults and elderly individuals who experience mental health disorders or substance use issues.
Your primary duties will include intake assessment, crisis intervention, referral, case management, psychogeriatric support, collaborative community planning, and liaison with appropriate professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive mental health and substance use services to adults and elderly individuals
- Assess and treat serious mental disorders and substance use issues
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other care providers to identify educational needs for the community
- Coordinate services for adults and elderly with mental health and/or substance use problems
- Bachelor's Degree in a Health, Behavioural or Social Science related field
- Two (2) years recent related experience in a community mental health and/or substance use setting
- Current valid BC driver's license
