We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Chevron Town Pantry. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and performing various accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
- Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll, calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and reconcile accounts.
- Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, and maintaining general ledgers.
- Support for Diversity and Inclusion: Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills: Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, proficiency in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
