Canstar Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Repair: Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, and repair existing systems as needed.
- Design and Planning: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Project Management: Prepare tenders and quotations, schedule personnel, tools, and equipment, and estimate costs and materials.
- Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and supervise a team of 5-10 people.
- Certifications: Plumber Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, Driver's License (Class 3 or D), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Skills: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
