Job Title: Plumber

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Canstar Mechanical Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. This includes reading blueprints, determining layout, and preparing tenders and quotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment with various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
