About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher Assistant to join our Fruiticana team. As a Butcher Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality products are prepared for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Prepare Meat - Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, and cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Wrapping and Packaging - Wrap and package prepared meats, ensuring they are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Meat Preparation - Remove bones from meat, cut poultry into parts, clean and prepare fish and shellfish, slice cooked meats, and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
  • Meet Customer Demands - Prepare special orders and meet the needs of our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work Environment - Work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day.
Requirements
  • Experience - 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Physical Demands - Physically demanding role, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and the ability to work in a team environment.
