Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting early childhood educators and supervisors in maintaining accurate records, engaging children in activities, and promoting healthy habits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts to promote cognitive and social development.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling may be necessary.
Personal Suitability
  • Punctuality and reliability are crucial for this position.
  • Values and ethics are essential for working with children and families.
Experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week is available.
