Drywall Taper Specialist

Mahil Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for preparing tenders and quotations, instructing apprentices, and supervising other workers.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Estimation: Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for drywall installation projects, taking into account materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Leadership and Training: Instruct and mentor apprentices in drywall installation techniques, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards.
- Project Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of other drywall installers, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Installation and Measurement: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other technical systems to support drywall installation projects.
- Work Environment: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Communication and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate drywall installation.
- Physical Demands: The job requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as working in a physically demanding environment.
- Work Schedule: The work schedule is 30 to 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime during peak periods.
- Language and Work Term: The primary language of work is English, and the work term is permanent.
