About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Gananoque Inn & Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual dishes, for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Special Meals: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain a well-stocked kitchen to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
