About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Receiver Operator to join our team at Roquette. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth reception and processing of raw materials at our plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid truck drivers to unload raw peas and complete SAP transactions
  • Aid truck drivers to load pea cream, hull pellets, and screenings and perform SAP transactions
  • Use computer for SAP and some HMI operations
  • Verify driver documentation
  • Communicate with production, logistics, and guardhouse teams to ensure smooth truck operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to drivers
  • Follow safety and GMP guidelines

Accountabilities

  • Attend daily meetings and provide updates
  • Communicate with operators
  • Check pea silo levels and confirm with the supervisor
  • Check pea cream tank levels and plan for loading trailers
  • Check screenings and pellets silo levels and plan for loading
  • Inform the supervisor if silos or tanks are full and if a truck is needed
  • Use the radio to update the guardhouse about truck status
  • Assist truck drivers with loading/unloading issues
  • Inform truck drivers and the guardhouse about any delays
  • Keep the work area clean
  • Coordinate with operators before the shift ends
  • Submit the daily report to the supervisor
  • Report any issues in the area
  • Take samples if needed
  • Report safety and quality issues to the supervisor
  • Create maintenance requests for equipment

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk between different buildings and stay outside (including wintertime)
  • Ability to learn some tasks to be done on the computer to execute loading operations
  • Ability to climb stairwells on a daily basis
  • Ability to use a radio to communicate with other teams
  • Ability to move equipment (loading arms) and valves
