Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Receiver Operator to join our team in pea reception. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of trucks in our loadout tunnels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid truck drivers to unload raw peas and complete SAP transactions
  • Aid truck drivers to load pea cream, hull pellets, and screenings and perform SAP transactions
  • Use computer systems for SAP and HMI operations
  • Verify driver documentation
  • Communicate with production, logistics, and guardhouse teams to ensure efficient truck operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to drivers
  • Follow safety and GMP guidelines

Accountabilities

  • Attend daily meetings and provide updates
  • Communicate with operators
  • Monitor pea silo levels and confirm with the supervisor
  • Check pea cream tank levels and plan for loading trailers
  • Verify screenings and pellets silo levels and plan for loading
  • Inform the supervisor of full silos or tanks and request a truck
  • Update the guardhouse on truck status using the radio
  • Assist truck drivers with loading/unloading issues
  • Inform truck drivers and the guardhouse of any delays
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Coordinate with operators before the shift ends
  • Submit a daily report to the supervisor
  • Report any issues in the area
  • Take samples as needed
  • Report safety and quality issues to the supervisor
  • Create maintenance requests for equipment
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk between buildings and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Capacity to learn computer tasks for loading operations
  • Ability to climb stairwells daily
  • Proficiency in using a radio for communication
  • Ability to move equipment and valves
