Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Gun Counter Outfitter to join our team at Bass Pro Shops. As a Gun Counter Outfitter, you will be responsible for providing legendary customer service, safely handling firearms, and adhering to provincial, federal, and company firearm regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in finding merchandise and making informed buying decisions.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of various firearms and scopes, as well as hunting concepts and practices.
  • Promote Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's programs, including in-store surveys and in-store pick-up.
  • Maintain a safe and organized sales floor environment by upholding visual presentation standards.
  • Respond to and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and emerging technologies related to the outdoor lifestyle.
  • Assist with other sales floor tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • One or more years of experience in sales or service is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required.
  • Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on those needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
